at Reads

Student life is arguably one of the most challenging and nerve-wracking phases of a person’s life. For every student, the challenge of making the right academic choices comes accompanied with maintaining a strong academic performance through the academic period. Reads took this factor into careful consideration while designing its academic programmes and set up a team of professional therapists and educationalists to guide students towards making the right choice for their future while also helping them develop personally and socially.
Our team of highly skilled and professionally trained educational and behavioral therapists sit down with every student to discuss their issues individually and provide instructions to help them deal with problems in a professional and amiable manner. We at Reads make sure that every student gets undivided and individual attention in not just the areas where they need academic help, but also where they need to learn how to deal with conflicts and resolve issues, while alongside making learned decisions for their future.

Behavioural
Counselling

We have dedicated counselling professionals to continuously monitor and assess the psychological health of every student and take them on a one-to- one personal therapy session on a regular basis. Our experienced and professional therapists help students with overcoming behavioral, physical, or mental health challenges to make sure that each student is mentally healthy and ready to make the right choice for their lives. Part of the personal counselling also involves team activities and group discussions to help students build better interpersonal relationships and enhance their listening and social skills. They are advocates for students’ well-being, and are a valuable resource for their educational and personal development. They help students work through issues such as bullying, disabilities, low self-esteem, poor academic performance, social anxiety, problems with authority or problems at home.

Guidance
Counselling

Besides imparting valuable education to every student, our primary focus is to prepare students for university life too. After graduating from school, the first challenge that every student has to come face to face with is the daunting and, on occasions, perplexing job of finding the right career path for them. A number of students passing out from schools do not have a single clue as to what career choice should they follow for a better future. Reads aspires to enable students to choose from a world of options the career path that not only matches their skills and abilities, but also has the potential to lay the groundwork for their bright future. Reads’ dynamic team of academic counsellors team up with every student to understand their weaknesses and strengths, and instruct them accordingly to make the choice that benefits them in both their academic and professional life. Once they have assisted the student in making their career choices, they guide the students ahead by connecting them with the professionals and universities related to their chosen careers, as per our Mentoring Programme, to show them the practicality of that profession and help them set a clearer goal.

Parental
Counselling

Parenting is a challenging job, and many parents question themselves whether they are able to do the best for their child. Parental counselling and parental education are evidence-based approaches to help parents in coping with a variety of difficulties that their growing children encounter. Counselling focuses on helping parents to learn ways to encourage positive etiquette, manage undesirable behaviour, and understand the emotional requirements of their children; to form an everlasting bond between the parent and the child. Children, who are in loving, secure relationships with their parents, have a higher emotional quotient, and the ability to make decisions in challenging situations.
In the academic year, parental counselling is a crucial element to help the students grow in a comfortable loving environment both at home, and at school; to enable the child to focus on their academic and personality development with a focused mind.
